Making a more sustainable earth one home-garden at a time…

The Green Thumb Network is an online gardening organization and app development team. We host a compilation of general growing information for various annual, edible crops, gathering relevant details on each species from growing experience and online consensus. This sort of synthesis is unique to the Green Thumb Network and makes growing a garden more convenient. We also hope to increase the number of young gardeners through social networking. Prospective growers can either use this website or our free app to find the information they need.

Our Story

The Green Thumb Network began as a project I pitched to my lifelong friend Gabriele. But, my fascination with gardening started when I cared for a bonsai tree. The machine-like behavior of the plant wholly fascinated me. As my newly found passion erupted, I started a small garden in my yard. I found that growing fruits and vegetables was even more rewarding than caring for a tree. Eating the finished product is half the fun of growing a garden! As my garden started to include more varieties of plants, I found myself frustrated while researching their different growing conditions. I recognized that a lack of conveniently organized information might prevent some people from starting a garden. That's when I enlisted the help of my friend Gabriele to build an online grow guide and eventually an IOS application.
